EXPERIENCE

  • Upstate Capital
    • Volunteered as lead back-end developer on Upstate Capital’s New York Business Plan Competition (NYBPC) web application, with a secondary project focused on migrating two of the organization’s nonprofit databases supporting entrepreneurship education across New York State from Airtable to a scalable MongoDB-based relational data model. In this role, I worked on the full database schema and data architecture, implementing secure user authentication, created the AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible, and the front-end application administrators. From this experience I gained useful professional project planning & management skills such as creating CBAs, Gantt charts, project reports, and executive summaries.
  • Hudson Happenings

We used a Node.js REST API and a React frontend to allow users to create, share, and discover local events. I learned how to collaborate effectively in a development team, build full-stack applications, and stay aligned with project goals through consistent communication and task delegation.
  • TaskTogether
    • Led a team of 5 using scrum for 4 months to create a social media scheduling web app. I learned how to work successfully in a group setting, and how to create and stick to a workflow.
  • Quantum Computing Application in Real-Time IDS
